In the annals of our revolutionary history, there are individuals who transcend their earthly existence, leaving an indelible mark on the struggle for equality and justice. Today, we gather with heavy hearts to pay tribute to Comrade Emma Achieng, a dedicated and committed member of the Communist Party of Kenya. We mourn the loss of a budding revolutionary, whose life was tragically cut short through a fatal accident in Yala.

Comrade Emma's passing serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the unpredictability of fate. As we grapple with the sorrow that weighs upon us, we are compelled to reflect on the profound impact she had during her time with us. Her unwavering dedication to the party, her tireless efforts to uplift the marginalized, and her utilization of revolutionary art and music to mobilize the masses will forever be remembered as a testament to her revolutionary spirit.

Within the ranks of the Young Communist League, Comrade Emma embodied the essence of our movement. She recognized the power of artistic expression as a tool for societal change, using her talents to inspire and galvanize others in the pursuit of a more equitable world. Through her revolutionary art and music, she traversed the barriers that divide us, uniting the oppressed and instilling in them the belief that a brighter future was within their grasp.

As a member of the Chosen One Crew, a revolutionary music group within our party, Comrade Emma fearlessly conveyed messages of solidarity, resistance, and hope through her lyrics and performances. Her songs became anthems of the downtrodden, resonating with the masses and rallying them behind the cause of justice. Her impact was not confined to the confines of our party, but reverberated throughout the wider community, touching the hearts of all who encountered her revolutionary spirit.

Today, as we bid farewell to our fallen comrade, we are reminded of the impermanence of life and the urgency of our revolutionary struggle. Comrade Emma's untimely departure leaves a void within our ranks, but her memory will forever serve as a source of inspiration and fortitude. Her spirit shall guide us as we continue to mobilize the masses, wielding the power of art and music to dismantle the oppressive systems that perpetuate inequality and exploitation.

Comrade Emma Achieng, though your physical presence may have been extinguished by the tragic accident in Yala, your revolutionary spirit shall endure. We shall honor your memory by carrying the torch of revolution, fighting tirelessly for a society built on principles of justice, equality, and true liberation. Your contributions, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to the cause shall forever be cherished within the hearts of all comrades.

In the words of the great revolutionary Che Guevara, "The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall." Comrade Emma, you have left an indelible mark on our collective struggle, and we pledge to make your dream of a just and egalitarian society a reality. Your passion, your dedication, and your unwavering spirit will continue to guide us, even in your absence.

Farewell, dear comrade. Your revolutionary spirit shall forever dwell in the hearts of the comrades of the Communist Party of Kenya. We will honor your memory by tirelessly continuing the struggle until the day when justice, equality, and true liberation prevail.

In solidarity,

The Communist Party of Kenya

Mathare Social Justice Centre, Gacheke Gachihi, Waringa Wahome and the Politics of Celebrity Activism The Central Organising Committee of the Communist Party Marxist Kenya considers it necessary to openly address the increasingly negative role played by sections of the so called social justice movement, particularly individuals associated with Mathare Social Justice Centre, whose conduct has come to embody the politics of celebrity activism, NGO dependency, opportunism, and hostility towards revolutionary organisation.
